Meeting of the business sector with the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Gakharia

A working meeting was held between the business sector and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, organized by the business union "Georgian Employers' Association" and "Georgian Manufacturers' Federation". The purpose of the meeting was for the private sector to receive information directly from the minister about the initiatives and reforms focused on business development, which are planned and implemented step by step by the ministry. An important part of the meeting was devoted to the discussion mode, within the framework of which the representatives of the business circles informed the Ministry about the problems facing them and discussed the ways and means of their solution. Among the issues discussed at the meeting, it is worth noting the direction of promotion of local production, including encouragement in state purchases; export potential and measures aimed at strengthening it; The issue of the necessity of pricing in GEL in the international shipping sector; Establishing the upper limit of small business taxation, etc. About 80 companies, sectoral business associations, Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Geno Arveladze and Giorgi Cherkezishvili, as well as Minister's advisor Maya Giorgadze attended the meeting held at the Association of Georgian Employers. Meetings of a similar format are systematically managed by the Association of Georgian Employers for member companies in order to improve communication between private and public structures.
