The business sector in the business union "Georgian Employers' Association" discussed the package of legislative changes prepared by the Ministry of Health, according to which fine sanctions were defined for businesses for non-fulfillment of the conditions established by the labor legislation. It is significant that according to the draft law, the labor inspectorate will have the right to enter the enterprise at any time without the permission of the court and check all the conditions, including financial documentation, which may be related to non-compliance with the labor legislation. At the meeting, which was chaired by Misha Kordzakhia, the vice-president of the Georgian Employers' Association and an expert in labor law, representatives of the business sector received information about the latest legislative changes and discussed the expected consequences that may result from the implementation of the mentioned legislation. "We all agree that the legislation we have today is quite flawed, but the body, which is still in its infancy in the form of the labor inspection, I think will not be ready to conduct the kind of partnership with businesses throughout Georgia that you would like to have under the conditions of these sanctions."
