On April 20-21, 2017, the FLA-ILO-Adidas-New Balance-Nike joint training for labor inspectors on workplace safety and health was held at the Association of Georgian Employers. The training was led by: Enes Un, Adidas - EMEA Regional Director, Iloi Tolba - New Balance, EMEA Regional Manager, Olgun Aydin - PUMA, EMEA Regional Manager, Kaner Soitas - Nike, EMEA Regional Director, Leo Sibel - ILO, Chief Specialist of International Labor Standards The two-day training covered the following key issues: • What is SCI? • On-site inspection steps • Risk assessment report • General safety and health conditions in the factory • Chemical safety • Workplace health departments/privileged care • Hygiene conditions • Workplace safety and health training The training participants shared the experience of such well-known companies as New Balance, Adidas, Nike. Also, recommendations were received from FLA and ILO experts. Employers' Association of Georgia is a social partner of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and Labor Inspection Departments.
