Training - working safely at heights

Organized by the OSH Academy and the Georgian Employers' Association, a corporate training on labor safety issues was held for the employees of ER Telecom. In particular, the topic of the training was "Working safely at height". The training was based on the International Labor Organization (ILO) standardized requirements for safe work at height. The following main issues were discussed at the training: • Rules, consistency and responsibilities of working safely at height; requirements for protection systems and equipment; • knots and their binding; Ropes and their types (rope suspension); • Fall protection systems; • General and work-related risks; • Maintenance of equipment; • Requirements for ladders (SOP1) and others. In addition to the theoretical part, the training was loaded with practical training, where the employees of "Es Telecom" went through simulation exercises at the workplace. The Association of Employers of Georgia and the OSH Academy constantly offer the business sector consultations, trainings, literature and other types of services in the direction of labor safety, so that companies are as well prepared as possible. They will meet with the labor inspection monitoring.
