Business Union - Sakarvelo Employers' Association offers the private sector an updated package of services in accordance with the new law on labor safety, which is fully adapted to the needs of companies, which have been caused by the increased mandate of the labor inspection. As is known, the Law "On Labor Safety" came into effect on August 1, 2018. At the first stage (not later than September 1, 2019), the law applies to high-risk, heavy, harmful and dangerous jobs (the mentioned list is approved by the Government of Georgia). Based on the law, labor inspectors have the right to inspect the compliance of existing working conditions of employees with legal requirements without prior notice of the company and without court permission. In accordance with the law, non-essential, essential and critical non-conformities of the violations detected during the inspection process were determined. Appropriate administrative fines have been established for the mentioned type of non-conformities - a warning, a fine of no more than 50,000 GEL and/or suspension of the work process. "According to the requirements of the law, the Georgian Employers' Association, as a partner business union of the International Labor Organization (ILO), offers companies a package of services based on the interests of the business itself and the most urgent requirements in order to fulfill the requirements of the law. Our many years of experience and existing resources allow us to offer companies a full range of labor safety services, starting with free consultations and ending with the implementation of the highest international standards," says Lasha Labadze, Executive Director of the Georgian Employers' Association. According to the organization, the demand for such services as trainings, audits, consultations, development and implementation of fire safety system, short and long-term trainings has increased especially from the business sector.
