Employers' and insurance associations discuss mandatory accident insurance for employees

According to Article 5, Clause 8 of the Law "On Labor Safety", the employer is obliged, at his own expense, to provide the employee with accident insurance during the period of work. The Association of Employers of Georgia and the Insurance Association of Georgia have questions regarding the mentioned law. A meeting was held between representatives of employers and insurance associations in order to discuss this issue and plan joint measures. Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the gaps in the law, in particular, the vague and unspecified nuances of the law in the current records. Leaders of employers' and insurance associations talked about intensifying cooperation in the future in order to implement such measures that will help shape the law in such a way that less pressure will be applied to both the insurance sector and any business entity that will have to operate within the scope of the law.
