The employers' association held a meeting with the business sector of Imereti region

Business union - representatives of the Georgian employers' association held a meeting with about 80 companies representing the local business sector in the administration of the state trustee in the Imereti area. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues relevant to the private sector, such as labor safety, professional education and challenges in these areas. "The tightening of the labor safety law has a particularly heavy impact on the regions, because there is less awareness in this field, personnel with appropriate qualifications, moreover, they do not have information about what new requirements the law imposes on them. The meeting was important to the extent that, on the one hand, we provided local businessmen with information on how to conduct their activities in accordance with the new requirements of the law, and on the other hand, we heard from them the main challenges that currently hinder business activities in a specific region. As for professional education, it is known that the mentioned issue is particularly acute in the regions. The Association of Georgian Employers has been implementing the vocational education and training project in the Imereti region for more than 1 year, and we talked with the participants of the meeting about the planned activities and expected results according to the project. Here, I should mention the support of the local government in our activities, which is confirmed by the organization of today's meeting and the willingness to cooperate in the future," - Executive Director of the Association of Georgian Employers, Lasha Labadze. In the future, the Association of Employers of Georgia announces holding meetings with business circles of different regions and strengthening communication with them in order to make lobbying of the private sector more effective and focused on specific results before government structures and international partners.
