A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Union of Professional Unions of Georgia and the Association of Georgian Employers. The signatories of the memorandum, as unions of employers and employees, represent social partners recognized at the local and international level, one of the main areas of activity of which is the development of legislation regulating labor and social relations. By signing the document, an agreement was signed to develop effective cooperation mechanisms between the parties in order to achieve a reasonable and fair balancing of the interests of employers and employees in the process of bringing the current legislation closer to European standards, including the importance of social dialogue at workplaces, the development of legislation regulating labor and social relations, the business sector and Advocating joint positions of employees before the government and other interested parties, in terms of labor relations and about such topical issues as: collective relations, court disputes, minimum wage, description of working hours, enterprises with 48-hour work regime, etc.
