Visit to Brussels

The president and board members of the Georgian Employers Association were on a 5-day business visit to Brussels.

The purpose of the visit of GEA representatives was to get to know the structures related to business in the process of preparation for the EU accession, to promote the enlargement policy from the perspective of the employers' association, the so-called EU Cohesion Policy, to share experiences about the integration process, business environment and economic relations, etc.

For this purpose, meetings were held with MEPs and representatives of such structures as the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), BusinessEurope, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the largest German business association and their representatives in the countries of the European Union, the Federal Land of Mecklenburg West-Pomerania with the head of the representation in the European Union and others.

Within the framework of the visit, several meetings were held with representatives of Nordmetall in Hamburg (Germany).

GEA actively works with international partners both inside and outside the country so that the process of harmonization with the European Union is less stressful and hindering for the local business sector.
