On June 20, a training on ESG issues was held for member companies organized by the GEA. Reporting and disclosure of information related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues is one of the main prerequisites for the development of sustainable finance. All this, in turn, contributes to increasing market transparency and improving market discipline.
Within the framework of the training, the progress in the mentioned direction by 2024 was discussed - the obligation of Georgia and the responsibility defined by the regulations for the companies.
The training was led by Khatuna Akhalaia - a consultant for the business sector in environmental protection, agribusiness and labor safety issues. 20 years of experience in environmental protection.
