Members of the GEA met with the head of the Labor Inspectorate

Business Union “Georgian Employers’ Association” held another meeting to inform member companies about the changes in the labor legislation and the rules of its implementation.

Mr. Beka Peradze, the head of the Labor Inspection answered the questions of the private sector at the online meeting. Particular attention was paid to issues related to working time accounting and inspection of occupational safety conditions, including in the case of companies operating remotely.

Significant emphasis was placed on the dangers of detecting possible violations of the right to personal data protection in the use of fingerprint, face recognition, GPS systems and other technological solutions as a form of time-keeping.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Lasha Labadze, Executive Director of the Georgian Employers’ Association.

The Employers’ Association regularly holds online meetings with the Labor Inspectorate and other government agencies to keep member companies informed of current issues.
