Members of the GEA met with the Office of the State Inspector

Organized by the Georgian Employers’ Association, the business sector met with representatives of the State Inspectorate. The main issue of discussion was the processing and protection of personal data in labor relations.

“The obligation enacted by the new Labor Code stipulates the so-called registration of working hours. Tables, employers are facing another challenge related to the accuracy, up-to-dateness and security of employee data processing in the technological decision-making process. The meeting was held to raise awareness of the business sector, as our goal is that the member companies of the association were well aware of the legal prohibitions and the risks they will face in the event of a dispute, “- Mr. Lasha Labadze, Executive Director of the Georgian Employers’ Association.

At the meeting, which was attended by more than 50 companies, the Office of the State Inspector made a presentation on “Problematic issues related to the protection of personal data in labor relations for business.”

Mr. Archil Javelidze, Deputy Head of the Private Sector Supervision Department and Mrs. Nino Katamadze, Lawyer of the Private Sector Supervision Department were invited to the meeting by the State Inspector’s Office.
