Preparatory course for labor safety managers

A new training group for labor safety specialists was opened in the Association of Georgian Employers. Within the framework of the program, labor safety specialists will be trained in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Labor Safety. In particular, they increase competence for effective management of occupational safety and health conditions at the workplace. As a result of the completion of the program, which includes 130 study hours, the student will have specific knowledge of both local and international requirements and standards in the field of labor safety. The program participant will also be able to assess hazards and risks related to the safety and health of the employee and others in the workplace. Also, it will be able to ensure the registration, investigation and reporting of accidents and occupational diseases in the workplace in accordance with the legislation of Georgia. The accredited program of labor safety managers in the Association of Georgian Employers includes both theoretical and practical training and is led by trainers and experts certified by the International Labor Organization. The Employers' Association systematically offers staff training in accordance with the Labor Safety Law, so that they are prepared to meet the mandatory labor inspection procedures.
