Finished
On April 19-21, 2017, representatives of the Georgian Employers' Association and the International Labor Organization (ILO) created a working group that creates an investment policy document in Georgia that reflects the vision of the business sector.
The idea and need to develop an investment policy document is based on the results of the business environment survey conducted by the Georgian Employers' Association in 2016.
The mentioned study was carried out with the support of the International Labor Organization within the framework of the "Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises (EESE)" program.
As a result of the research, the problem of access to finance was identified as one of the important factors hindering doing business, and the document, which is being developed at this stage, addresses this issue. In particular, the purpose of creating the document is to substantiate the need for political reforms and develop recommendations for improving the investment policy in Georgia.
As a result of development, the document will be presented to the relevant government structures and will stimulate further discussion.
The investment policy document of Georgia is created taking into account the opinions of the business sector.
