The Association of Georgian Employers opened a five-day dual professional education training for representatives of the business sector and vocational schools under the name - "School as a place of learning" and "Enterprise as a place of learning".
It should be noted that an event of a similar scale in the direction of dual professional education is unprecedented, as the business sector, educational institutions, and international organizations participate in it.
The training aims for the participants to acquire relevant knowledge in their workplaces (school, college, enterprise) in order to organize the environment in accordance with the conduct of dual education processes. In addition, trained instructors should lead the dual education processes in the workplace, be focused on needs and lead trainings in companies at a highly qualified level.
It is important that the participants will receive information about the German practice of dual professional education in a parallel and comparative mode with the Georgian system.
The event was opened by the President of the Association of Georgian Employers, Elguja Meladze, the Head of the Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Irina Tserodze, and the German expert Dirk Ronecke.
The trainings are held within the framework of the vocational education and training project, which is financed by the German government and has been implemented in Georgia since 2016 by the Association of Georgian Employers. The goal of the project is to develop the labor market in Georgia.
