Based on many years of experience, the business union "Georgia Employers Association" together with the experts of the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITC ILO) has developed a long-term training course for the training of health and safety managers.
The course was held for the first time in October-December 2017 and aroused great interest. At this stage, about 40 labor safety managers of the company have completed the training program.
In accordance with the mentioned topic, the demand for qualification raising measures increased after the Georgian government created the labor inspection department based on the requirements of the European Union and tightened the regulations in this direction.
The issue is particularly relevant in Georgia, considering the fatal consequences caused by mistakes made in the field of labor safety.
The training course ended on July 12 in the conference hall of the Association of Georgian Employers, and the certificates of the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITC ILO) and GEA were given to the successful graduates.
Due to the high interest from the business sector, the employers' association is still planning to update the course to accommodate the new flow of participants. In addition, any interested person is offered to participate in the training course, including individuals interested in the topic.
The two-month course was held in the conference hall of the employers' association.
The Association of Employers of Georgia takes into account the challenges faced by companies and strengthens cooperation with the private sector in the direction of labor safety. Therefore, as a result of consultations, audits, staff preparation and retraining, the member companies of the association will be prepared to face the implementation of new regulations.
