A two-day training on labor safety issues was held in the Association of Georgian Employers. In particular, risk assessment and fire safety.
The goal of the training program was for companies to learn the methods of detecting fire hazards in the enterprise. Also a study of the necessary fire and electrical safety instructions and procedures that any company, regardless of its size, should have in place. The use of such a system allows to avoid the risks and dangers that may be caused by the consequences of fire. The purpose of fire safety system implementation and training is to ensure the protection of employees' health and company property. After the training, participants should be able to implement a fire safety system and develop evacuation schemes.
As for the direction of risk assessment, its purpose was to study the methods and systematic approaches of identifying the dangers in the workplace in the enterprise/organization, determining/assessing risks, reducing or eliminating them.
The program is of practical use and any company can implement such a system. Here we must mention that the introduction of modern standards and approaches to labor and health safety conditions allows not only guarantees of personnel safety, but also contributes to the growth of the company's income. In particular:
Labor productivity increases; absences and absences decrease; labor motivation increases; damage to technical equipment and costs for their restoration decrease.
The training was led by the ILO (International Labor Organization) certified trainer of the labor safety center of the association: Mr. Davit Chijavadze.
The training was attended by technical managers of the company and specialists responsible for labor and health safety in the enterprise/organization.
GEA and ITC ILO certificates were awarded to the participants based on the summative test.
