An extended meeting was held between the business sector and the labor inspection

Organized by the Business Association - Georgian Employers Association, member and partner companies met with the management of labor conditions inspection. It was the first meeting of such a scale between the business sector and the labor inspectorate since the inspectorate's operational mandate was increased. Accordingly, the main issue to be discussed at the meeting was the Law "On Labor Safety" enacted on August 1, 2018, which obliges employers to create a safe and healthy environment for employees and, at the same time, provides for periodic inspection of labor safety conditions by the Labor Inspectorate. At the bilateral meeting, the requirements in the field of labor and health safety, company inspection processes and other relevant issues related to the topic were discussed in the discussion mode. The meeting, which was attended by representatives of more than 150 companies, was opened by the President of the Association of Georgian Employers Elguja Meladze, the Head of the Labor Conditions Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health Beka Feradze and the Business Ombudsman of Georgia Irakli Lekvinadze. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Association of Georgian Employers.
