The Employers' Association of Georgia is ready to cooperate with the Ministry of Health, business associations and other interested parties in the direction that the law, which will come into effect on January 1, 2019, on the insurance of employees against accidents, will bring as little pressure as possible to the business sector," said the President of the Employers' Association of Georgia. Elguja Meladze said after the meeting in the Ministry of Health.
The meeting, which was chaired by the Deputy Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection from the Occupied Territories Tamila Barkalaya and the Head of the Labor Inspection Department Beka Feradze, was attended by business associations, insurance companies and representatives of the State Insurance Supervision of Georgia.
At the meeting, the issue of mandatory accident insurance was discussed and the parties agreed to cooperate in the future.
Mandatory accident insurance is provided for by the Law of Georgia "On Labor Safety".
