Business Union - Employers' Association of Georgia together with the International Labor Organization (ILO) will develop a policy document on equal pay between women and men, which will be shared at the national level and implemented among member companies.
The work on the preparation of the policy document began with the sharing of experience from different countries to the representatives of the employers' association. The representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Organization of Employers (IOE) held a working meeting for the representatives of the employers' association, within the framework of which they discussed the ways and perspectives of creating a policy document on equal pay by the association and its further implementation.
"Together with international organizations, we will develop a policy document on what should be the role of the employers' association in this process and in what form we should present it both to the government and to our member companies. We have already started working on this issue and it was revealed that there is no difference between salaries in developed companies that respond to international challenges, although there is a difference in certain companies, which can be solved by introducing international standards and establishing high social responsibility", - President of the Association of Georgian Employers Elguja Meladze.
The Employers' Association of Georgia will soon offer specific services to its member companies in the future, which will promote the introduction of a culture of equal pay in terms of gender in the business sector.
