The presentation of the so-called Vocational Simulation House (VET House) was organized by the Association of Georgian Employers, Public College "Spectrum" and supported by the German Government (BMZ), which was attended by representatives of state structures, international organizations, business sector, school students and other interested parties.
In 2017, the Association of Georgian Employers, within the framework of the Vocational Education and Training Project, created an analogue of the method of professional orientation introduced in Germany, the so-called Vocational Simulation House (VET House), which serves to popularize construction professions. The simulation house, which last year visited 26 schools and generated a lot of interest in the community, was renewed with the college "Specter". The simulation house allows school and vocational school students to simulate up to ten construction professions.
"Simulation House is a German brand, which we created together with the Association of Georgian Employers and German partners. The professional simulation house will travel throughout Georgia, schoolchildren will have the opportunity to participate in its construction and learn directly about 10 professions in the construction sector," - Mate Takidze, Director of the Public College "Spectrum".
"Transferring and implementing German practice requires an appropriate base, which we saw in the college "Spectrum", that's why we started promoting and promoting professional education from here. There is a lot of talk about employment in the country, this problem will not be solved until vocational education is given proper attention. Professions are upgradable and training modules should be updated every year in order to prepare personnel corresponding to modern technologies. The achievement of this goal is served by the unification of the business sector in the form of the Association of Georgian Employers and vocational schools within the framework of similar projects," - President of the Association of Georgian Employers Elguja Meladze.
