The training on corporate social responsibility and responsible business behavior (CSR/RBC) was opened under the auspices of the Georgian Employers' Association and the auspices of the International Labor Organization (ILO/DANIDA). At the event, it was announced that in the near future, 25 representatives of the employers' association member companies will be trained as corporate social responsibility trainers. The reason for this was the growing demand and interest in the issue in business circles. The employers' association will implement the mentioned project with the support of the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization (ITCILO).
"The two-day training will help encourage corporate social responsibility among the members of the employers' association, plan the internal policy of the association and relevant activities in this direction, and raise awareness in the business sector in general. It should be noted that the issue for the Employers' Association, as one of the leading business associations in the country, is important to the extent that corporate social responsibility and responsible business behavior (CSR/RBC) contribute to sustainable development from an economic, social and environmental point of view," - Elene Makharashvili, Georgia Employers' Association.
The event was opened by social partners, the President of the Association of Georgian Employers, Elguja Meladze, the Vice-President of the Union of Professional Unions, Eteri Mathureli, the representative of the Georgian Government Administration, Mariam Jajanidze, and the Senior Employer Specialist of the ILO Regional Office, Vladimir Churovich. In addition, within the training, the founder and director of Dio company Irma Daushvili shared her company's experience of corporate social responsibility with the business sector and other interested parties in the form of a presentation.
