On the initiative of the Business Union - Employers' Association of Georgia, an extended meeting was held between the private sector and the director of the Pension Agency, Levan Surguladze, in the framework of which the issues of the pension reform were discussed.
A discussion was held between the business sector and the head of the pension agency, both about the technical details and specific problems of the topic, as well as about the risks of pension savings, the issue of insurance and other relevant issues of the forms of receiving benefits by the future employee.
"This meeting was especially important for the member and partner companies of the Association of Georgian Employers, because the pension reform, in particular, the work of the agency, is one of the most urgent issues in the business sector today. The issues raised at the meeting were very diverse. The questions related to the establishment of the Investment Council and its subsequent activities, guarantees of long-term savings security, credit and currency risks, sanctions, short-term and long-term perspectives of the accumulated amount, etc., were especially important. In addition, it should be noted that at the meeting, the representatives of the companies had the opportunity to receive information from the representatives of the agency about the shortcomings and unclear issues arising in the daily process of administration," - Executive Director of the Association of Georgian Employers, Lasha Labadze.
The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Sakarvelo employers' association and was attended by about 80 company representatives.
Employers' Association of Georgia systematically conducts similar meetings to strengthen communication between the business sector and government structures.
