On November 22, an introductory meeting was held between the members of the Association of Georgian Employers and the Federation of Georgian Manufacturers and business ombudsman Mikheil Daushvili.
The purpose of the meeting was for the business ombudsman to hear directly from the entrepreneurs both individual and problematic issues in the sectors and to outline prospects for cooperation in the future.
The ombudsman declared his readiness for active cooperation with the business sector and presented his views on the solution of specific problems raised at the meeting. The main current problems that the businessmen talked about were related to challenges in local production, import-export issues, food safety, economic freedom, etc.
"In Georgia, small and medium-sized businesses have the most problems, and they are the ones who need the support of such an institution as the office of the business ombudsman. Therefore, we are glad that the business ombudsman is interested in actively communicating with them, and this meeting is a clear example of that. We hope that the mutual cooperation between us will be fruitful and focused on concrete results", - President of the Association of Georgian Employers Elguja Meladze.
The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Association of Georgian Employers and was attended by more than 50 company representatives.
