An international conference on professional education was held in "Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metekhi Palace" with the support of the German Federal Ministry BMZ (SEQUA), organized by the business association "Georgian Employers' Association".
The conference is called - "Sharing experiences in the field of professional education in the South Caucasus countries and beyond", was opened by the President of the Association of Georgian Employers, Elguja Meladze, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili, and the representative of the German Embassy, Daniel Haas.
The purpose of the conference was to share the European experience and discuss the current results of the "Professional Training and Partnership Project in the South Caucasus Countries", existing challenges and opportunities for implementing innovative mechanisms and systems in professional education in Georgia.
"Today, the demand for professional education personnel is very high in the labor market. This trend is increasing day by day, as companies need employees with the mentioned qualifications following the introduction of innovative technologies. Accordingly, targeting and employment orientation - in this direction, the employers' association works together with our international partners. To achieve this goal, we are actively working on the introduction of the German dual vocational training model in specific companies, which will contribute to the development of the skills needed for the labor market and further employment of personnel with vocational education," - President of the Association of Georgian Employers Elguja Meladze.
Business associations of Georgia, Germany, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Armenia, government structures, as well as representatives of international organizations, diplomatic corps and the European Union participated in the conference.
