A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Technical University of Georgia and the Association of Georgian Employers, on the initiative and organization of the Faculty of Business Technologies of STU. The memorandum was signed by the Rector of STU, Professor Davit Gurgenidze and the President of the Association of Georgian Employers Elguja Meladze.
Within the framework of mutual cooperation, the purpose of the memorandum is to support students in finding opportunities for internships, employment and development of professional skills.
"On the basis of the memorandum, the Technical University of Georgia and the Association of Georgian Employers will work together to improve the qualifications of students. Today, there is a great demand for highly qualified energy workers, builders, architects and informatics in the labor market. A high standard can be achieved not only with theoretical, but also with practical knowledge and skills. In this regard, the memorandum allows students to participate in international, national, regional conferences, forums, competitions, grant projects - this is important. The prospect of employment provided by the memorandum is also very important," said Davit Gurgenidze, rector of the Technical University of Georgia.
It should be noted that within the framework of the memorandum, the University and the Association of Georgian Employers will ensure the planning and holding of various events. In particular, the "Student Employment Festival" will be held; Proposals for the commercialization of the results of research carried out at the university are considered; They will hold the competition "The best qualifying student paper on the topic of business and entrepreneurship", as well as the annual international scientific conference "Actual problems of teaching entrepreneurship". The memorandum involves the organization of internship and production practice for the successful students and graduates of the final course with the perspective of their further employment.
