A meeting was held within the framework of the comprehensive work environment project to create jobs in Georgia

On April 18, the fifth meeting of the consultative committee of the project "Comprehensive working environment for creating jobs in Georgia" (ILO/DANIDA) was held at Holiday Inn Tbilisi.
The meeting was aimed at reviewing the progress of the project and drawing up future plans by the stakeholders. In particular, the committee members discussed and summarized the activities of 2021-2022, the progress of the project in accordance with the action plan and MTE recommendations, and also set the project work plan for 2022-2023 (June) taking into account the partners' priorities and suggestions.
The meeting was opened by the President of the Union of Professional Unions of Georgia, Irakli Petriashvili, with a welcome speech. Deputy Minister of Labor, Health and Social Protection of IDPs from the Occupied Territories Tamar Barkalaya, President of the Georgian Employers' Association Elguja Meladze, Representative of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Senior Advisor) Vibeke Gram Mortensen and Deputy Director of ILO DWT/CO Eastern Europe and Central Asia Mikhail Pushkin.
This project is implemented with the support of the Danish government and the International Labor Organization in order to promote a better working environment and entrepreneurship in Georgia.
Since 2019, the Association of Employers of Georgia, as the official social partner of the government, has been involved in the mentioned project and with the involvement of member companies, it carries out a number of activities.
