A meeting of the tripartite social partnership commission was held in the Ministry of IDPs from the occupied territories of Georgia, Labor, Health and Social Protection, under the leadership of Minister Zurab Azarashvili. The members of the commission discussed the possibility of ratifying the International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention N81 on Labor Inspection and the Additional Protocol to the Convention N29 on Forced Labour.
The Commission unanimously supported the ratification of both the Convention and the Protocol.
The parties talked about the reform of the national minimum wage and discussed the issue of paid leave due to pregnancy, childbirth and child care. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection Tamar Barkalaya, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Gennadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Buba Lomuashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Valerian Gobronidze , Chief Labor Inspector Beka Peradze, Chairman of the Union of Professional Unions of Georgia Irakli Petriashvili and President of the Employers' Association Elguja Meladze were present.
