Training on environmental issues

On July 11, an informational meeting/training on environmental issues was held at the Association of Georgian Employers. The purpose of the training was to increase the awareness and qualifications of professionals working in this field about the legal requirements of environmental protection, so that companies can take appropriate measures and implement a system in such a way that, on the one hand, they take care of the environment and, on the other hand, they are prepared to meet the inspection process and avoid the expected sanctions. Within the framework of the training, such issues as the legal bases of the environment, atmospheric air protection, environmental assessment and waste management were discussed. The training was led by Khatuna Akhalaia - 20 years of experience in environmental protection. 12 years of experience in the field of land, waste and chemical management of the Ministry of Environment, extensive experience in managing toxic waste (pesticides) in international organizations. At the end of the training, the participants were awarded GEA certificates.
