A two-day training on labor safety issues was held in the Association of Employers of Georgia, which was attended by about 40 labor safety managers representing various companies.
The training, led by labor safety expert Davit Chijavadze, was aimed at defining the basic requirements and general principles of preventive measures for company representatives, which are related to labor safety issues at the workplace, existing and expected threats, prevention of accidents and occupational diseases, in the enterprise/organization at the workplace To study the methods and systematic approaches of identifying existing threats, determining/estimating risks, reducing or eliminating them.
At the end of the program, after passing the test, the participants were given joint certificates of the International Labor Organization, the International Training Center and the Association of Georgian Employers.
As it is already known, the Law on Labor Safety came into effect on August 1, 2018, within the scope of which the Labor Conditions Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Protection of IDPs from the Occupied Territories of Georgia carries out mandatory inspections of the labor conditions in companies, which aims to improve the existing labor and health safety Inspection of conditions and, in case of deficiencies, appropriate response by the Department of Inspection of Labor Conditions.
Based on all of the above, the Association of Georgian Employers, as a business promotion organization and as the only partner of the International Labor Organization (ILO), systematically offers labor and health safety trainings to its member and partner companies, with the participation of both local and foreign experts, so that employers are prepared to meet the demands of the labor market.
