On May 6, a one-week training for the representatives of enterprises and colleges was held in the town hall of the municipality of Khoni, organized by the Association of Employers of Georgia and with the support of the Federal Ministry of Germany, BMZ, for the development of professional dual education in the region.
The opening of the training was attended by Mayor Lado Jurkhadze of Khoni Municipality, Deputy State Commissioner of Imereti Besik Gofodze, Chairman of the City Council Valery Bakhtadze, German expert of the project Mario Radamski, National Coordinator of the project Elene Makharashvili and representatives of local enterprises.
The training aims at the so-called Training of "multipliers/instructors" at the college and enterprise levels, who will further lead dual training in their institutions in terms of German experience and know-how, as well as practical approaches, namely management of the industrial training process, recruitment and retention, the role of the instructor, evaluation schemes, four-step methodology etc.
The training participants who will be trained as instructors were selected based on local priorities and included community colleges such as Tetnuld, Phase, Spectrum, Prestige and New Wave. At the end of the training, participants will be given certificates and an "Instructor's Guide".
As already mentioned, the training serves to encourage dual learning. In particular, promoting smart cooperation between educational institutions and businesses, strengthening the involvement of enterprises in educational activities, training and retraining of young people and adults, increasing competitiveness in the labor market, promoting employment and regional strengthening.
