Tbilisi hosted the Georgia-Ukraine Business Forum. The event was held on the initiative of EU4Business-EBRD and the Ukrainian Export Promotion Office and with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Trade Development of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia and the "Georgian Employers' Association".
The business forum was attended by 23 Ukrainian companies producing food products (meat, milk, confectionery, coffee and tea) and Georgian entrepreneurs interested in the mentioned field.
"Despite the mentioned long-term business relations, we believe that there is a great untapped economic potential between our countries. We expect that the information announced today about the business-investment environment, tourism potential, current infrastructure projects and reforms will be a guide for entrepreneurs to plan further specific business projects. We have a reasonable expectation that we will be able to use this forum as a serious step to further encourage and strengthen commercial activities between the two countries. On behalf of the "Georgian Employers' Association", I would like to inform you that we are ready to host and support similar events at any time," - President of the Georgian Employers' Association Elguja Meladze.
The main part of the business forum was devoted to B2B meetings, within the framework of which companies had the opportunity to get to know specific business operators better and outline prospects for future cooperation. The business forum was held at the "Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metekhi Palace" hotel.
