In collaboration with UNICEF and the business sector, the Business Advisory Council for Children was created - an innovative platform that aims to ensure respect for children's rights and promote the realization of children's rights in the context of the workplace, labor market and society.
The executive director of the Association of Georgian Employers, Lasha Labadze, took part in the meeting.
The Business Advisory Council for Children is an independent group of people created in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund in Georgia, which brings together representatives of various business sectors, business groups and platforms, the public sector, the scientific community and the media.
Business Advisory Board for Kids:
is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices with a focus on increasing the share of children's rights in the business agenda and promoting the protection of children's rights;
It will bring together knowledge and experience from different fields (business, academia, government, children) to contribute to a better understanding of the impact of business on children, which will encourage companies to promote the protection of children's rights through their activities.
Business directly and indirectly affects the lives of children who come into contact with it as customers, family members of employees, young employees, future employees and leaders. Children are also part of the community and environment in which the business operates. Businesses make a diverse impact on children's lives through products and services, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing, distribution, environmental or social impact, and community investment.
