The technical regulation on the minimum requirements for health and labor safety protection in the workplace was approved, which establishes minimum standards for workplaces provided for by the Organic Law of Georgia "On Labor Safety".
The regulation includes and regulates the following issues: electrical equipment; fire safety; work space; evacuation routes and exits; driving route; escalators; cargo platforms; closed workspace settings; microclimate in closed space; temporary heating and cooling systems; ventilation; natural and artificial lighting; toilets; showers; changing rooms; Rest areas and first aid rooms.
Article 5 of the Regulation, Transitional Provisions, is worth noting, which provides for cases of exception to the rules defined by the said Resolution, related to the date of issuance of the construction permit. In particular, certain types of obligations stipulated by the present regulation do not apply to the work space and workplace located in the buildings for which the construction permit was issued before the implementation of this resolution.
If the construction permit was issued before the implementation of this resolution, the following regulations will not apply to the employer: work space - floor, walls, ceiling, roof, windows and windows; driving route; escalators and moving walkways; cargo platforms; closed workspace settings; lighting devices; separate towels; each employee's locker; containers for food; first aid room; Special conditions of open workspace.
Accordingly, except for the above-mentioned exceptions, the employer (at the workplace located in the premises for which the construction permit was issued before the implementation of this decree) is obliged to ensure compliance with the requirements established by the regulation. yr
